Saba Safa is a Persian musician who started learning the violin when she was seven years old. Saba won scholarships to complete her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music performance at Chichester University, where she has explored classical violin technique and repertoire with instructors including Clare Thompson and Jorge Jimenez. She has collaborated with the Hanover Band, Rhetoric Orchestra, Orbita Baroque Orchestra, and Chichester University Symphony Orchestra and toured the UK with Moscow City Ballet. In addition to her work in the UK, she has also performed in France and Persia as a violinist, leader, and soloist. In 2023, Saba was privileged to collaborate with composer Dr. Susannah Self to premiere a new work for solo violin and orchestra.

Saba began to study conducting under the tutelage of Crispin Ward in 2021. Since then, she has led several concerts as a conductor and been accepted into the Glover-Edwards Programme for female conductors at the Royal Academy of Music, where she has gained conducting experience under the wonderful guidance of Sian Edwards. She recently received her Global Talent endorsement from Arts Council England, which will allow her to pursue her dreams and career in music.
